Welling Young has partnered with a Commercial Insurance Holding Company who is seeking an Underwriting Assistant Position Overview The Underwriting Assistant position will work closely with underwriters to provide best in class service to the programs’ producers. This includes evaluating and managing submissions, setting up files and procuring proper documentation, communicating with producers and underwriters, assuring accurate entry of data into the program’s systems and working with others to help timely rate and prepare quotes. The Underwriting Assistant must have excellent interpersonal communication skills, be a decisive and organized person who can represent the program professionally, be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and have the potential and desire to grow with us. Responsibilities Provide underwriting and processing support tailored to the needs of the underwriter Analyze insured information, loss history, and financial records Assist the underwriter with management and rating of a book of new and renewal franchised auto and truck dealer garage insurance policies Prepare selection, pricing, quoting and binding of policies while ensuring consistency with the underwriter and compliance with underwriting guidelines Practice effective communication with producers and team members to build strong Maintain organized and accurate documentation of files and correspondence Collaborate with underwriters and managers on complex and detail-oriented projects and assignments Skills High level of organization skills Ability to provide a high level of customer experience Highly effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to work closely with others High level of accuracy and detail Demonstrate a technical proficiency with all computer systems necessary for the efficient #J-18808-Ljbffr
