Location: Overland Park, Kansas

Schedule: 12-hour shifts (0645-1915 or 1845-0715), rotating every 3rd weekend, 48 hours guaranteed

Highlights:

• 36-bed unit with all private rooms specializing in orthopedic injury, neurological conditions including stroke and head injuries, and trauma care
• Fast-paced medical-surgical acuity environment within a busy Level 2 trauma center with 2 freestanding emergency departments
• Patient ratio of 5-6:1 with comprehensive support staff including charge nurses, PCTs, and unit clerks on every shift
• Advanced mobile communication technology (iMobile) for streamlined team coordination with interdisciplinary staff including PT, OT, radiology, and respiratory
• EMR system: Meditech
• Award-winning team culture with 0% first-year RN turnover, 7% total RN turnover (vs. 17% national average), and consistently increasing employee engagement scores

Requirements:

• Active Kansas RN License
• BLS Certification
• Acute care hospital experience on medical-surgical or telemetry units
• Experience with wound care, dressing changes, traction, external fixators, halos, telemetry monitoring, and continuous pulse oximetry
• NIH certification preferred
