Job Description and Responsibilities This is a part-time, on-site role as a
Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) serving a school located in
Cherokee, Oklahoma. The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) will be responsible for providing therapy services to students, conducting screeners, monitoring progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents). The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for working with students with special needs.
Job Details - Part-time, approximately 25-30 hours per week
- September 2026 - May 2027
- Elementary through High School grades
- In-person, on campus
- Job Duties: direct therapy, consultation, planning, collaboration with SLP supervisor
- Guaranteed Hours, including documentation, administrative and planning time
- Dual support from the District and TheraPeds
- Manageable caseloads
- $30.50- $41.50+/hour
Requirements Qualifications - Valid SLPA Certification from an ASHA approved institution
- State License as Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant, where required
- Department of Education Licensure as a SLPA, where required
- Experience working with children
- Experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
- Organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in use of technology

- Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents with a demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications
Physical Requirements Working and playing with students requires that employees must be able to perform the necessary physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities,
