Scripps Mercy Hospital has served central and downtown San Diego since 1890 and is the oldest medical center in the county. The San Diego campus is located near the corner of 5th Avenue and Washington Street in Hillcrest.

Scripps Mercy Hospital consists of two campuses in San Diego and Chula Vista. 

Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego’s campus includes the O’Toole Breast Care Center, a 24-hour emergency room that is a Level I Trauma Center, outpatient physical rehabilitation, minimally invasive robotic surgery and our childbirth unit (including a Level II neonatal intensive care unit).

Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU 
Schedule: 72 hours per 2-week pay period | 12-hour night shifts 
Location: Scripps Mercy San Diego in Hillcrest

This position is eligible for New Hire and Relocation Incentives up to $7K .

As a critical-care nurse working at Scripps Health Mercy San Diego, you’ll join a team of skilled medical professionals who provide superior health services in a caring environment. We encourage you to join our ICU team of Registered Nurses (RN) at Scripps Mercy San Diego, where the RN will provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.  Additional expectations include but not limited to:

\n
• Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes.
\n
• The RN takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under his/her supervision.
\n
• Works collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.
\n

This position is eligible for New Hire and Relocation Incentives up to $7K .

• Internal candidates

• Rehires that left Scripps less than 3 years ago
\n

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met:

• Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
\n
• Must remain in original department/specialty
\n
• Must remain in original Job Title
\n
• Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.

Required Qualifications:
\n •    Registered Nursing Degree from an Accredited School of Nursing
\n •    At least one year Adult ICU RN experience
\n •    Current CA State RN license
\n •    American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certification
\n •    Have excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrate positive behaviors
\n •    Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English
\n  

Preferred Qualifications:
\n •    At least one year of ICU RN experience in a Level I Trauma Hospital
\n •    Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

\n Position Pay Range: $59.16-$85.68/hour\n
