A Plastic Injection Maintenance Technician ensures the continuous, efficient operation of injection molding machines, robots, and auxiliary equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. Key responsibilities include repairing hydraulic/pneumatic systems, installing/removing molds, and optimizing machine parameters to meet quality standards.
Job location: Onsite – Grand Rapids, MI

Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certificate or degree preferred.
Experience : Proven experience in industrial maintenance and troubleshooting. Plastic injection molding experience preferred.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and work orders.
Physical Requirements : Ability to stand for long periods, work with tools, and lift up to 50 lbs.
· Ability to interpret technical documentation (blueprints, schematics, specifications).
· Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to equipment reliability and process improvement.
· Team-oriented with the ability to train and mentor less experienced technicians.
· Computer proficiency and strong communication skills.
